The TECHSPEC® Polarization Tester is designed to determine different characteristics of unknown polarizers, such as the polarization direction of linear polarizers and the rotational direction of circular polarizers. This easy-to-use, handheld, compact tool is compatible with all mounted and unmounted polarizers and features regions designed to test linearly polarized light, along with right- and left-handed circularly polarized light. For circular polarizers, the tester allows for identifying the rotational direction of polarization and the position of the retarder and linear polarizer. The TECHSPEC® Polarization Tester is an ideal way of identifying the correct polarizer or verifying accurate alignment in an application. For best results, ensure that all protective films are removed from the polarizer before testing.
Note: To mount the polarization tester, #54-997 is recommended.
