Edmund Optics® is an industry leader in the stable, reliable manufacturing of optical components from prototypes to high-volume production. Our team of skilled engineers is well-versed in International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements and compliant with Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC). Over 34,000 commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components are available for immediate shipping and we leverage that same infrastructure to manufacture large volumes of custom optics. What can we make for you?
US-Based Manufacturing in AZ, NJ, and FL | Wholly-Owned Asian Manufacturing
Edmund Optics® engineers are skilled in designing for manufacturability and finding solutions for your specific application. Our engineering creativity can allow for complex, complicated optical coatings to be made cost-effective, the quick modification of COTS components in two to three weeks, fully-custom rapid prototypes of spherical lenses to be made in as little as three weeks, and high volume production of custom optics tailored for your application.
Our laser optics components, beam expanders, and other subassemblies are ideal for beam directing assemblies in applications ranging from handheld laser range finders to vehicle mounted directed energy applications. Maximize your targeted energy and minimize the likelihood of laser-induced damage in your system.
US-based design, manufacturing, and application engineers allow for local, made-in-America production when required. A newly-acquired facility outside of Tampa, FL creates industry-leading laser optics and DLC-coated infrared (IR) optics. Our Tucson, AZ facility focuses on design and advanced optical assembly (view press release) with additional manufacturing and R&D executed in our headquarters in Barrington, NJ. Wholly-owned Edmund Optics manufacturing facilities in Singapore, Malaysia, and Japan are leveraged for build-to-print optics through robust Technical Assistance Agreements (TAA) and Manufacturing License Agreements (MLA) and other licensing from the Department of State and the Department of Commerce that allows you to benefit from offshore costs while remaining ITAR compliant and no additional licensing lead times.
Join us for a discussion about the key considerations of anti-reflective (AR) coatings, such as diamond-like carbon (DLC) coatings, for optical components in harsh environment applications.
